Linking your community with businesses and organisations
As a family-run business, our journey really began with my parents back in December 2005, when they launched The Broadstone Link. Building the business from the ground up while raising a family and juggling all that life brings. Their dedication, commitment to the community and strong work ethic laid the foundations for everything we do today.
With two young children of our own, we now truly appreciate just how much effort went into growing the magazines in those early years — balancing deadlines with family life while maintaining the high standards our advertisers and readers value.
Last year marked an exciting new chapter as my husband, Hamish, joined the business full time. We are proud to be continuing the business as the next generation, working hard to maintain the same trusted format, ethos and community focus that my parents established.
At the same time, this feels like the beginning of something new — with fresh drive, new ideas and real momentum behind us. We are very social within the community, attending local events, supporting initiatives and building strong relationships with both readers and advertisers. That personal connection remains at the heart of everything we do.
Today, we distribute across five areas in Dorset, and we remain incredibly proud that many of our advertisers have been with us since the very beginning. Their loyalty is a true testament to the consistent return on investment and reliable service the magazines provide.
We are equally encouraged by the positive feedback we receive each month — it makes all the hard work worthwhile.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited to be launching our fifth magazine, The Merley Link, continuing our commitment to supporting local communities and businesses across Dorset.
Best wishes
Harriet McCutchion
